Steps to RFID Implementation...
RFID Solutions utilizes a proven seven-step approach to RFID implementation. By guiding each of our clients through this formal process, we can accurately and efficiently assess needs, identify challenges, and design the optimal RFID system for your specific situation.
Envisioning:
In this initial step in our process, we help your business brainstorm, formulate and identify specific opportunities where RFID may help achieve your goals. RFID workshop will be conducted to enhance our understanding of RFID and the related technologies so that our team can make informed decisions.
In this initial step in our process, we help your business brainstorm, formulate and identify specific opportunities where RFID may help achieve your goals. RFID workshop will be conducted to enhance our understanding of RFID and the related technologies so that our team can make informed decisions.
- Develop Understanding of our Business
- Evaluate Current Processes
- Assess Costs and Benefits
- Conduct RFID Workshop
- Answer Any RFID Questions
- Provide Basis for Decision Making
- Detailed Overview of Opportunities for our Specific Business
In this step, the experts will work with our team to develop a long-term plan for adopting RFID and formulate a vision of how our business will look with RFID in place.
- Build a Long-Term Plan
- Understand our Business Strategies
- Evaluate Key Factors Critical to Successful RFID Deployment
- Establish Goals of Greater Profits Through RFID
- Build A Practical Business Case For RFID
- Guidance Through a Customized Request for Proposal
Technical Assessment:
In this step, we ensure that all parties have a complete understanding of our current systems. We will complete a thorough, on-site assessment of our current system architecture, data flow, network and communication systems, and your radio frequency environment.
- Technical Insight Regarding Environment and System Performance Needs
- Complete Understanding of Existing System and Possibilities for Integration
- On-Site Assessment of Current System
- Produce Good Faith Estimate of Costs and Implications of RFID Implementation
During this phase in the process, the experts will create a master plan that showcases what our application and infrastructure architecture will look like after deploying RFID.
- Master Plan of Existing Systems and Needed Changes
- RFID Application and Infrastructure Architecture
- Provide Clear Goals For Implementation
- Promote Discussions Between our Business Units, End Users, Operations Staff, IT Staff, and Business Partners
- Design Application Integration
- Design Read Point Selection and Customization
- Design Storage Planning
- Design Server Infrastructure
- Develop a Customized Roadmap From Start to Finish
Implementation:
Before completing a full-scale implementation, expert will take us through a pilot project to validate our assumptions. This pilot project will allow us to work with our team to make any necessary adjustments to the overall roadmap. After the pilot project is complete, we will implement the full-scale RFID solution that has been custom designed for our business.
- Pilot Project Implementation
- Revise Roadmap As Needed in Real World Application
- Full-Scale Implementation Process
- Achievement of Goals in Timely, Productive, and Cost-Effective manner
- Fully Functional, Fully Integrated RFID Solution That Allows For Immediate ROI
Continuous Improvement:
It is not finished when implementation is complete, we work with our team to find ways to make our system and processes even more efficient over time. We are committed to the continually evolving technology of RFID and we want to make sure that we take advantage of any new capabilities or innovations that might improve our business processes.
- Continual Evaluation of Effectiveness
- Long-Term Improved Processes
- Application of Any Appropriate Technology Developments
- Streamline RFID Process Within our Organization As Needs Change
Lateral Partner Application:
As the last stage in our RFID process, we help our customers identify partners and suppliers who could also benefit from RFID solutions. A fully integrated RFID system across our entire network can exponentially increase your ROI from RFID.

· RFID Portals
Current Issues:-
Space Availability – Most immediate requirement is to search a appropriate place in Tuas region to setup a minimart. It should be within the reach of local people residing in the region of Tuas.
Advertisements – In order to make people at vicinity of Tuas region know about the 24 hours 7 days upcoming minimart which is going to open shortly, we have to advertise properly to make it a success. There are many ways to advertise such as media, newspaper, internet. But the most effective way to advertise is ‘ROADSHOW’.
Man Power Requirement (operation):-
TOTAL MAN POWER REQIREMENT:
Resources Requirement:-
§ Skilled Labour – Required accomplishing the completion of minimart setup within time.
§ Construction Material – Material to construct infrastructure is required like, plywood for making shelves, iron clamps, glass, etc.
§ RFID Installation – The costs of an RFID implementation are not low as discussed above. The tags still cost around one dollar each depending on the capabilities required. Readers are key tools and cost over a thousand dollars each. The redesign of circulation areas adds significant costs to the system. The labelling and encoding of each item in the library’s collection is also a time- consuming and costly one-time step.
The project team to setup.
The project team to setup, 24/7 minimart has been categorised into different division. Such as:-
- Project Manage
- Procurement
- Sales & Marketing
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Construction
Responsibility Matrix:-
Estimated duration to setup a minimart will be approximately 3 months. The project manager bears sole responsibility to accomplish the setup of minimart within alloted time frame.
The Business Strategy:
· To rent a space for 24/7 minimart
· To operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
· To look for potential suppliers for basic provision from India, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines goods
Estimated Cost :-
SETUP of MINI MARKET
Objectives'
There are very few minimarts to serve growing populations of industrial workers in that area. Recognising the potential business opportunity to serve these workers a project team (24/7 M) has been tasked to setup a minimart.
Tuas is largely an industrial zone located in the western part of Singapore. Many industrial work force stay in Tuas area. It has been observed that there are very few convenient stores in Tuas region. Therefore, most of the population had to go far off distance to get all kinds of daily household goods.
